On the afternoon of December 8, the technical team of Henan Yongchang, led by group leadership, visited Zhengzhou University for an industry-academia-research cooperation exchange with Professor Tang Jianwei, Dean of the School of Ecology and Environmental Engineering, and his core research team in the chemical engineering field.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics such as the technological upgrading of the nitric acid industry chain, the establishment of collaborative innovation mechanisms between universities and enterprises, and the joint construction of research and development platforms. Together, they explored feasible pathways for deep integration and high-quality development in industry-academia-research collaboration.
This exchange marks an important step for Henan Yongchang in promoting industrial technological innovation and deepening cooperation with universities. It also lays the groundwork for systematic and regular technical collaboration between the two parties in the future.

Focusing on Industrial Needs, Jointly Exploring Technological Breakthroughs
At the meeting, the group leadership systematically introduced Yongchang’s technical expertise and production experience accumulated over many years in the fields of nitric acid, ammonium nitrate, and nitro compound fertilizers. They elaborated on the progress made in existing production capacity layout, process optimization, and product quality improvement, as well as the major technological challenges currently faced.
Professor Tang Jianwei expressed full agreement with Henan Yongchang’s continuous efforts to promote industrial upgrading and focus on technological innovation. He provided a detailed introduction to the School of Ecology and Environmental Engineering’s research strengths and latest achievements in areas such as green chemical processes and phosphate and compound fertilizer technologies. He emphasized that university research must closely align with actual industrial needs, focusing on translating scientific and technological achievements from the laboratory to industrial applications and achieving deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application.

Based on Henan Yongchang’s industrial foundation and development plans, Professor Tang’s team proposed extending the nitric phosphate fertilizer process to develop high-value-added products, jointly cultivating new growth points for the industry. The team also expressed its willingness to assist in connecting academic and industry resources, take the lead in organizing high-level technical seminars in the nitro fertilizer sector, and invite key industry enterprises to participate in exchanges, helping Yongchang further strengthen its influence and leadership in the industry.
The group leadership responded positively, expressing a willingness to jointly establish a long-term and stable university-enterprise cooperation mechanism with the university, promote the establishment of a joint research and development center, and conduct targeted research and systematic studies on specific technological needs in production practice. At the same time, they sincerely invited Professor Tang’s team to visit Yongchang’s production base for on-site inspection and guidance. Yongchang will also initiate internal evaluations of relevant technological pathways and actively advance follow-up in-depth research and pilot-scale cooperation to ensure the solid implementation of collaborative intentions.

Innovation-Driven Development, Cooperation for a Win-Win Future
Henan Yongchang firmly believes that open collaboration and integrated innovation are the core drivers of sustainable enterprise development. In the future, the group will continue to uphold the collaborative philosophy of “going out and bringing in,” actively establishing deep and pragmatic industry-academia-research partnerships with universities and research institutions. Through these efforts, Yongchang aims to continuously enhance its independent innovation capabilities and product competitiveness, jointly contributing to industry progress and high-quality development.
